The 5th grade team has created a student grouping to focus on metacognition and language arts. This cycle will likely continue until mid December.
The first session ended with students role-playing decision making in our imaginary colony on another planet. Total Chaos! As we reflected on the experience, students were able to see how difficult governance is.
As we looked at the reasons people emigrate, and balance those reasons against the risks they take, students nevertheless could not imagine themselves facing the challenges of many current emigrants. |
